29 year old Mr Excellent Okpako Akevwighome died while doing what he was known for in a vigil at his church. Reports say he slumped and died while leading the church choir in a ministration at Christ Gospel Church in Edjekete Community, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Mr Excellent, who was currently serving in Anambra state is a graduate of Accountancy from Anwai Campus of the Delta State University.
He was said to have slummed and died immediately midway into the vigil while leading the choir in a song.
An eye witness said when he fell and was thought to be under the influence of the holy spirit; but after waiting for about 20minutes and he did not get up, some of the choristers tried to help him up only to find out that he was already dead at exactly 11:30pm.
The Pastor of the church, Pastor Peter Akppvwera, expressed shock at the incident saying "the brother was a faithful worshipper but lost his life to the cold hand of death even in church".
